Most Ultra-Nationalists in Turkey at that time were hardcore Turkic nationalist who dreamed of an united Turan.
For example Nihal Atsiz one of the most influentual minds in the right-wing of Turkey hated Islam,Arabs and the Ottomans.
How about calling a fascist Turkey Turan.

Meh, I'm pretty sure it'll be a basic localization mod. Localization mods are easy and (I think) will not break ironman.
This is just a friendly question because historical a fascist Turkey would have never called themselves Neo-Ottoman Empire.

This is an example of insufficiency of political parties in the game. Nationalist movements are divided to two sides in Turkey. The Turk-Islamists which wanted the Ottoman Empire back and the Turanists which wanted to unite Central Asian Turkic minorities, creating the Turan Union. With having one party for each ideology, they had to choose the Turk-Islamist side for the game because they were more popular in that time. Still with dlc's and mods it can be changed. I also wonder what will be the name of communist Turkey.

@Kiyant , if you had a turkish name for a proper facist Turkey, I'd be happy to oblige in my Endonym Nation Names Mod.

Currently using 'Türk İmparatorluğu' , but as I am not a native turkish speaker and only have a general understanding of turkish history, this remains as more of a placeholder - I'll always prefer the advice of native speakers.

The same as in Turkey at that time.
its still popular among turkish nationalist/fascist groups like the grey wolves which are quite big

Fun Fact: the grey wolves are the biggest fascist organisation in germany much bigger than the ethnic german fascist groups

Personally the name Turan or Turan İmparatorluğu would be better.

While i agree with what you said there is another problem.
Most famous right-wing people and fascist at that time were Turanists or Pan-Turkists who mostly didnt care about reviving the dead Ottoman Empire.
And calling Turk-Islamists fascist is maybe a bit too much in regards to Nationalists who wanted to unite all Turkics.

You'll also have to take into consideration what Paradox thought would be more interesting to the player. While I'm sure there are players who would want to go Turan and unite the turkic peoples, there are probably more players who would be interested in restoring the Ottoman Empire to its former glory.

It's unfortunate that all parties with (somehwat) similar ideologies are lumped together, but as has previously been said it can probably be fixed with mods and might even see fixing in future expansions.

EDIT: Unless it wasn't clear: I absolutely agree that it would be optimal to have more than just three (four if you count neutral) parties, but in its current form I think that the Ottoman route was better than the Turan for turkish fascism.

I think the reason here is twofold: one, everyone except the major players of WW2 only got some really basic work done on them and two, it's some sort of fan service to EU and Victoria players. I would prefer more historical accuracy in the factions as well.
