I've never gotten lover's pox from a random event. But you are right, of course, you can get them if you seduce someone who already have them

Then you've been lucky. When you get the maid/bodyguard event during the Seduction focus you can catch lover's pox. If you've sent a child off to lead a mercenary band they can catch it there as well, though that one doesn't apply to PCs of course.

Well. I don't do that much seduction focus because I played Germanic pagan recently and now I am playing Zoroastrian. If I am desperate for a heir I can take concubines :-D

Ah, that makes sense, then. I use it a lot for bloodline breeding. There is no better way to ensure that a rare bloodline doesn't die out than giving a woman eight children with that bloodline...

Mh... do they get the bloodline if you denounce them (they should but I think the few times I was in that situation they didn't)
I mean, I know that when the AI is the father and the AI denounces them (what the AI does all the time for whatever reasons, even if both are unmarried, even if they are know lovers). Anyways in such cases the bastard children get the bloodline(s)

It depends. If the child has an unknown father at the time of birth, he'll get the mother's bloodlines without restriction. If he has a father at time of birth but the father is later removed by being denounced, he won't get patrilineal bloodlines from the mother. I'm not 100% sure when one or the other occurs - I haven't been able to find a reliable pattern, but it appears that the player denouncing the child after an affair are of the second type, i.e. no unrestricted inheritance.

I just make sure I get Court Tomcat (hidden effect of massively reducing risk of bastards being discovered) and wed women with bloodline to low Intrigue men, preferably Trusting. It's very rare that they are caught then, and I just put that under what accountantw call "cost of doing business."
