Why is the a Feb. 30 and other questions

Can leaders be killed?
Can you transport airplanes overseas on transports or do you have to move them only with carriers?
Why is there a February 30?
I have all the prerequisites for Medium tanks 80 mm as the USA. I can't reaserch them. Any idea why? Are some items not available to certain nations?
As the USA how do I give units to the UK? Do I have to be in the alliance with them or is there an event?
If I share research is it available insatntly or after the number of days shown on the share research screen?

1) No, they cannot be killed, only by events (Purges or Assassination of Hitler Attempt for example)

2) Carriers only

3) Code issue... Cannot be corrected though. Just a minor thingie imho

4) Did you research Medium Tanks with another gun qualibre? Researching Medium Tank XXmm+ deactivates the other qualibres for that particular tank model. Read the tech explanation and the effects.

5) You can send expeditionary corpses to UK through the diplomacy screen

6) If you donate research to the UK, they will take immediate advantage of it. A few days later you can share another technology and so on.

You can only research one tank model in each class (Basic Light, Improved Light, Basic Medium, etc.). So if you research Improved Medium Tank 70mm you can still research any Advanced Medium but if you have Advanced Medium Tank 70mm you can't research any other Advanced Medium Tank. If you want something more powerful you'll have to research a Heavy tank.

No...you send those forces to the enemy nations.....you will see that their performance decline from that moment on..

Why in the world should researching a given calibre on a tank make the others invalid? I would love to see the conversation between Hitler and his researchers... No, mein furher, we cant research the 80mm tank cause we already researched the mg model...

Besides, what use would a country have for 36 types of tanks?

The Germans had that many, at least. In fact, the fact that they didn't produce truly immense numbers of a few of their best designs (PZ IIIH, PZ IVD, Panther, Tiger) was one of their biggest problems. But they kept tweaking things, and produced a few hundred of each minor variant. Just look at the PZ III line. They made it halfway through the alphabet giving names to each subtype. This made for pretty inefficient production lines...

In game terms, allowing the Germans to research each and every tank design would make sense. It would waste a lot of IC, too, just like they did .

The T-34/76 is the Improved Medium Tank, and the T-34/85 is the Advanced Medium Tank for the USSR.

I meant who would need 36 types of tanks in HOI... the battle model that Germany using during the real WWII was a bit more complicated than HOI. Being able to research them all would be a waste, and little more than extra code and an annoyance.

The USSR had that many tankdesigns too. Allthough very few reached as large construction numbers as the t-34 and KVs.
