Comming from a interview this give a little bit hope for the future of Stellaris ...
Once we saw the reception of the Utopia expansion and version 1.7, we realized the potential of Stellaris and began developing it for consoles. This is where the two games started branching. Our ambition is that Stellaris: Console Edition will eventually be able to catch up to the PC version.
What will be your DLC model for consoles? What is the schedule? Our DLC model will follow the PC version. We’ll be rolling out content in the months following launch starting with the Plantoids Species Pack, Leviathans Story Pack and the Utopia Expansion in that order and will share timing at a later date. We want to maintain fidelity to the original experience, which means following the Paradox way, even when on console.
