There have been a lot of posts around here about gridlock and how the traffic overwhelms things. But there may be another problem that isn't getting mentioned: the traffic network simulator is broken.
I offer as evidence this image:
The short of it is, nobody is going. All these cars are just sitting there. Who's got the green light? Apparently nobody does. The result is that my buses can't pick up their passengers because nobody will go.
At least their horns all work. Maybe nobody will go because they're all too busy honking at each other.
Also, not shown in the image is that when somebody finally does decide to go, this intersection becomes hugely dangerous because people just randomly go. You'll have one person from the south turning left, while someone from the east goes straight. At the same time. In the US, that means somebody ran their red light, and I'm guessing that it means the same thing in Germany.
Anyway, since the sheer bulk of traffic is what's getting most of the attention on the forums, I wanted to make sure this issue got noted as well, just in case it hasn't been reported yet.
