Why is it tyrannical to arrest your captor?

If you're able to arrest someone who captured you, then why is it seen as tyrannical? Isn't that justified?

I assume you were kidnapped by a vassal. Happened to me once and I wanted to get back at him too. My thinking was that in exchange for him not slitting my throat while I was at his mercy I agreed to not retaliate against him after being released.

What was the reason behind your capture? In other words.. were you being naughty?

Possibly because your ingame character:
- might not actually "know" who captured him;
- might not have proof of it.

At least your captor was not Greek. You never know with the cruel Greeks what they are op to..........
