Why is Hitler's portrait black?

Watching the stream I noticed his portrait is dimmed. Why is this exactly? I'm curious

Im pretty sure it was decided the reason was because the Stream uses the German version of the game, which has Hitler censored. (In Germany, Anything related to the Nazi's can be quite the touchy subject.)

Hitler's visage is censored in versions sold in Germany in order to comply to German regulations. The streams use the censored version of the game possibly so watching them in Germany isn't illegal or anything.

Don't know, I'm not an expert of German law. It's Paradox's choice and I don't really see why people are getting so worked up over it and posting tons of these threads.

Why does this keep coming up so very much...any time PDX puts out content that will be viable in Germany they have to Dim some of the characters. The rest of the world gets the full Mustache
