I love just! Paranoid is a nightmare to deal with Compassion isn't as bad as people make it out to be if you're Christian. (I also almost always play A roman and keep that Just more common + more dipol culture thing.)

On topic. It could be a bug, or maybe your guy is trying the Jesus Arc. I'm sure many saint's had to deal with a lot of Stress. You can also make your soulmate a rival.... Could something more of happened there :)?

I find it a bit ironic; for someone who likes the trait diligent, you're quite lazy with your explanation of why it's "the Best Trait Eva".
i'll always remember a history assignment i did at school. here, i can quote it for you:

One thing I noticed with the new Royal Court and Iberian running. When you get stressed for giving land ... even with the max (perfect 4 star food and accomidations that are supposed to reduce stress gain and increase stress loss) as well as having Irritable & Journaller, and the skills "Care Free", and "Mental Resiliance" all of which decrease stress gain or increase stress loss... I still get 40 stresws when giving land at or below domain limit. You would think that the 40 gain would be reduced with that plethra of stress relief.

I went to that much trouble so my amitious character could handle being ambitious and still be giving, but it makes no difference in your skills, perks, or your ourt.. you get 40 stress.. I didn't think that was how it was supposed to work.. just my 2 cents.

Not often this happens, but in this case I agree with @prismaticmarcus, diligent is easily in my top 3 personality traits. I don't find the stress penalty much of an issue as I am always getting befriend/confidents first thing on any ruler I play, and the stat bonuses as well as the Develop Capital unlock are hard to beat.
