Just curious. Why? What was the motivation behind the change, what historical reasons? Also, that pics (in colors of modern UA flag) was not created by Paradox, but was lazily taken from wikipedia.

Because it's inconvinient to have the same symbol pic for kingdom and Empire, I propose to change the Emp pic to old one. Also it's more historical that way, coz country named Russia never had Ukranian coat of arms.

The coat of arms of Principality of Kyiv and Empire of Russia in the game is straight coat of arms of modern Ukraine! Even the colours (blue and yellow) are taken from modern Ukranian flag.

The real Kyivan Rus never had a coat of arms and flag, the symbol that is in coat of arms of modern Ukraine is symbol of Rurikid dynasty.

Again, I insist that having identical coat of arms for both Kyivan Rus and Empire of Russia is confusing and it should be fixed.

They may be the same same but they are NOT "taken from" it.
Because they're based off the Kievan Rus. Which is what the coat of arms of modern Ukraine is based on. The Kievan Rus we're the first Russian state.
That would be my assumption too.

Closing before this goes the way of the other two threads on this topic.
