@Pied-Noir oh, I managed to apply but that was only cause someone posted it on reddit even though I'm on here fairly often (since ck3 was released anyway cause I'm ugly hyped)

I mean an open beta just before release doesn't really allow for core design concepts to change like for instance the way mana eventually did.If they do have an open beta, I imagine it'd be closer to the release date (which is likely roughly a year away).
It was supposed to be fair warning, though. They've planned a week of keeping applications open. It's just that they got their fill with slightly less than 24 hours. An advance warning wouldn't really change things.
I'm just not sure what this would have changed, aside from you having gotten your application in instead of some other person.Maybe this is a translation thing but Fair warning, is an announcement a few days before you do something. As in 'Hey we're going to have a beta and will be taking applications Next week on...(Insert date) from (insert time) so keep your eyes peeled for our announcement then.'

That's worth the trouble, isn't it.
I'm not saying it's a bad thing, I'm saying there was no reason to do it. They expected to have the apps open for a week. You just wish they'd done an earlier announcement because you specifically didn't get in.No, apparently fair warning a bad thing because *Reasons* it seems![]()

Then explain how it would have gone any differently had it been announced earlier, aside from a different set of people being disappointed.Your obsession with me is flattering but this isn't just about me (contrary as to what you purport) versus giving everyone a fair shot. A number of other people here have expressed their disappointment with both the suddenness of the announcement and the rapidity in which it was closed. Put away your Defense Force Badge.

because you specifically didn't get in.
