Just tried playing the little mini-game i've been playing since release with the 7 Alpha Centauri factions on a tiny map and see that I can't do that anymore. Max on a tiny map is now 5! Rolled back to 1.4 and checked the numbers there, and yup, they've all been reduced:
Tiny was 8, now 5
Small was 15, now 10
Medium was 23, now 20
Large was 31, now 25
Huge was 39, now 30
I just do not understand this change at all. Apart from having some nice round numbers in your code, where's the benefit? Did anyone ask for this? It's just a straight reduction in player choice for no reason. If you simply must have rounded numbers in your code, why not round up rather than down? It's not like anyone is being forced to play with more.
I prefer playing with a fuller galaxy and more competition. I like not having room to expand forcing me to make hard choices.
I'm sorry if i've come across like a whiny entitled forum bitch, but this has right pissed me off. I can deal with all the bugs i've been encountering, because I know they're not a concious choice and you guys are some of the best around in listening to and responding to feedback, but this change is just pointless, pedantic and improves nothing.
Please reverse this decision.
