Why friens don't join my faction?

I'm trying to overwhelm my liege by a leading a faction and I'm disppointed how it works (first time I do it, sorry )

I got a strong claim on my liege (king of Aquitaine). Then I created my own faction announcing my intention to assault the crown but...I'm alone . After a lot of carousing, three other dukes are my friends now, but none of them is joining my faction. I even sent my spymaster to "help" them to join, but to no avail so far.

Could someone please tell me how supporters to my faction can be gathered?

True but they are very expensive. I thought being friends was useful in general but I see that under Conclave it's only useful for your own vassals being calm and your counsellors loyal. A bit disappointing.

They're probably not joining because they have nothing to gain from joining you. Is the liege disliked by other vassals? Factions don't work against popular lords. That's why diplomacy is a powerful stat.
