Why doesn’t Sich Rada(Cossack government) have estates?

Hate to post in a Necroed tread, but I echo that they should have at least Factions (which are generally good when you don't want the social classes holding lands).

Ukrajina is found in scrolls as old as 12th century. It's just another name for Ruthenia.
Educate yourself and don't show your ignorance.

I think they meant the fact that very few people know history of Ukraine, even Cossack one. Which is kinda fine if we prioritize major powers.

But is EU4, not EU3. Worse even, we need 2 DLCs to play any Cossacks semi-decently and yet map is still bad, 0(!!!!!) content and events, 0 history, terrain map makes any Cossacks impossible for PLC once you release Zaporozhia, Orthodoxy was upgraded to basically buff Russia (and maybe Balkans) and only recently (+ 1 DLC), Ruthenia (and Balkans) is regularly converted to Catholicism/Protestantism by mere Counter reformation bonuses.
And atop of it, after paying for 2-3 DLCs you get Sich Rada with no factions, making it the dullest republic. With no history or historical impact.

So if you want it fixed, hope for Immersion pack (+DLC basically) which is unlikely to arrive. GC showed that mistakes in EU4 are going to be mostly permanent or long-lasting.

EDIT: Worse even, it is not just ahistorical by ignoring (like in bare EU4 or in EU4 but understandable), but it is basically biased. It denies any real links to Ruthenia and Ukrainian history. Although, it is still has 0 content in EU 4.

Educate yourself and don't show your ignorance.

I just read the primary chronicles, I have spent about 3 weeks travelling in Ukraine, I'm fairly familiar with the general notion of ukrainian history, I did meet a zaporozhian cossack at a mcdonalds in Riga one time
but yes, I do not know that much about ukrainian history, the lay of the land etc and it's not really a commonplace thing to do that either. Don't behave that people are ignorant for not knowing the details of a political construction in eastern europe that lasted for a few centuries, were independent for less than a decade

this is literally everything that is written on english wiki about the topic of sic rada: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sich_Rada

My point, which seems to have passed over your head, is that don't just behave like a child who didn't get his favorite ice cream but behave in a constructive way, discuss the problems, do like Fr-rein

don't just behave like a child who didn't get his favorite ice cream

Well, that line of behavior is natural.
Cossacks was a DLC offering estates at the time and a bunch of unique features. Last year main feature, Estates, is replaced and it retroactively became sort of Immersion Pack. The main features are diplomacy (good ones), many tribal-nomad changes and Cossack estate&government.

How do you judge it as a Cossack content? Yes, it is very bad by ImPack standard as there are no historical events, Cossack nations are just funny random nations with funny ideas and funny flags, no map rework to make it playable, not even missions despite the fact that they were introduced later and retroactively applied to other ImPacks. But hey, the breakaway nations are also made a pure fantasy as they actually never behave historically, doing only ahistorical funny random states.

Worst is that it is the content. After Russia&Poland revisit and last year update, it'll last for ages and it won't get a needed attention as another Polish, Russian or Cossack Impack/immersive free patch are not realistic. The only possibility is the Steppe revisit, but I am afraid to know what will happen to Zaporozhia Horde or how it'll get a mission to restore Mongol Empire.

Compared to GC problems, it is huger. Just that it easier to ignore peasant ramble because unlike with Iberians opinion about this topic will never get vocal (unless you touch more modern political issues).

Regardless, Sich Rada could be better. As I said, factions are nice and do fit the gradual shift in Hetmanate from classic cossack government to the one with more nobility which rose from Cossacks.

Don't be ridiculous, there are no Cossack nations, no matter what McDonald's Cossacks may say. LOL
Whatever you've read in wiki doesn't reflect correct states of affairs. Look into Ukrainian historical novels for a clue...
Hetmanate existed long after it lost its formal independence.
Anyway, how do you imagine any medieval state will function without estates??

Hetmanate existed long after it lost its formal independence.
Which can be reflected by its existence as march under Russian Empire.
Makes sense too since there were literally Malorossian Collegiums designed to integrate land, independent treasury and taxes, a case of fighting under Mazepa with Sweden against Russia to get independent...
Factions would be acceptable too.
Estates wouldn't work while factions would work definitely. I doubt it will happen though. They didn't even bother to have Lwow in Lwow province in the Polish Update.

Sich Rada still has no estates and no factions.

It is far worse content-wise than Pirates despite being similar in nature.

Will EUIV consider adding it some flavour and providing it access to some established mechanics?

I am asking because the last dev answer was "Maybe" and it's not clear if this is an issue at all for Tinto.

Iirc sich rada recently got the ability to raze lands like a horde. Although i agree its very boring mechanic. Something like estate or faction mechanic would make it a much more interesting gov type. Also it is kinda strange that you cant build cossack cav manually. Being able to train them manually, seperat from the gov click like strealsy, would be nice.

I don't think you're allowed to necropost like this.

This is the last answer about Cossacks from devs.

Outside of fixing in around 1.30 some privileges (-30% development to Steppe I think?) there was no dev answer to any other thread about Cossacks.

3 years passed, team largely changed. No new topical thread about it was answered. Roadmap has no mention of area.

I would like to know if it is dropped or not. Because other recent threads were ignored, no such suggestions had replies. And a thread with dev answer legitimately has more attention to the state of Cossacks than another thread about them that will be bumped for a few days, will get agrees from some bunch of people aware in 2021 that Sich Rada mechanics exists and will sink.

Just a funny example of poor is the state if this content - seasoned player not recognizing the spawn of Cossack independence country. Because it happens quite rarely, especially since 1.30

I do believe that it is a legitimate question that deserves to clarify if the current team inherited the issue in the to-do lists or dropped it. It referencing previous dev answer in same thread and context is essential.
