I have heard from a very reliable source, that Johan just before HTTT went gold he did some changes in the scripting that will give the HRE an casus belli trigger which would give zero Infamy, none bad boy effect,

The difference is that the Balkan issues are quite real while the Scandinavian ''issues'' aren't.
Well, I don't know about that. I don't think we have an especially advanced school system here in Croatia, but I think anyone with some school could find Canada, UK, Brazil, Korea, Texas or something like that on the map. It's not like you're being asked to locate Azerbajdzjan or something so obscure.
Also, wow, I heard tales of Amerocentrism, but this is still an unpleasant shock.
A bit off topic and it might have been mentioned before but: i saw somewhere on the internet, that 2? years ago 1 or 2 (swedish) newspapers did some questioning of the populations of Skåne, they asked whether they wanted to join denmark or stay swedish, surprisingly, some 50-55% (can't remember exactly how much, been a long while) said they wanted to join the denmark, while only something like 35% wanted to stay swedish..
Now i'm not sure if it was a joke or not as i read it around a year ago, but i'm pretty sure it should still be out there.

Today it doesnt really matter where Skåne belong to. Any Skåning can freely cross the bridge and enjoy the danish capital and vice versa.
In fact, danish people are doing this a lot because the danish currency can buy a lot more in Sweden than in Denmark. On the other hand, swedes go and work in Copenhagen because the salaries are significant higher.
So it's all good

Bah, we let them go a century ago and look at them now, thinking they're all that just because of their oil... this just means we'll have to become world leaders in developing oil-independant energy sources to get back at them
From a Swedish point of view the only good thing about the Great Northern War's outcome is Estonian alcohol prices, so we're quite fine actually - the Finns like it too
. When we're not busy sailing east we tend to buy German stuff as well.
To be honest I don't care... It's history now, but I really don't like the idea with Swedish cores on provinces that belonged to them a very short period.

I always do a ton of editing in the history, country and province files whenever I install/reinstall EU3. In my games Sweden never have cores on Skåne
And Sweden never really owned Skåne before they conquered it. They pawned it, which isn't the same thing as stated earlier in this thread. Otherwise Denmark would've been an OPM most of its (the game's) history (appearently danish kings loved to pawn all their provinces)

And a danish even pawned the Orkneys and Shetland... and they were norwegian, not danish. And thanks to that the UK got a nice amount of oil. The smart Scots didn't allow the danish later to buy them back.
This myth does exist. As I recall it's the result of someone putting a spin on Christian II's own propaganda where he supposedly once called himself "Bondekjaer" (I can't spell in danish but I think you can understand what I'm trying to say). Obviously, even if this is true, him wanting to be known as something doesn't make it so.
I was suprised when I spoke to a Dane a few years ago (who was studying history at the university of Odense) who told me that they never teach about the Stockholm bloodbath in Danish schools (though the suprise was mostly due to the fact that it get's repeated so often in Swedish schools that it just seemed unthinkable that the Danes "themselves" wouldn't know about it).
I'm a bit suprised by the Swedish core on Jämtland myself btw.
