Why does clicking military tab on ledger go to army quality instead of army size

Seriously, why this change?

Does anyone who play this game seriously think this is a change for the better?

I'm guessing this is something like the "Humiliate Rival" war that sat on top of the declare war options for so long before it was fixed. "Hey look! We made something cool! It's right here so you don't miss it"

Honestly if I'm putting my two cents this is a kinda petty gripe. Unlike the humiliate war this doesn't have the potential to hamper your run if you're not paying attention. The excellence that is this new menu if far outweighed by having to put in one more button press to see the information I want, and often times If I'm bothering to look at troop strengths I need to look at Army quality as well.

The first thing i started thinking when i saw this is that the Ledger is in need of a DLC... Way 2 hard to navigate to find relevant information about specific countries and the like.

I would also like a 'current wars' system like in HoI4, where you see all the major wars and their kills/losses.
Maybe keep it limited to wars where at least one of the countries involved the player sets as interesting or is a Great Power, to keep the saves from being 2 bloated as i assume that might be an issue with such a thing.

Usability should come first for a UI....
No need to change what's not broken that people are used to, unless your remaking the whole thing to make it more accessible and easy to understand.
Even then you need to stay with the spirit of what people were doing before because habits have power over people and messing with them annoys people.

With the current change, they could have added a new tab that's highlighted when people go into the ledger so that everyone that goes there will want to check it out so people are aware of it.
Like a "new Features tab" that highlights and lets people easily access what has been changed or added rather then revamping the existing one to where you have people play guessing games as to how to get to what they used to access using the same commands.

To be clear,
I am nitpicking at this,
It's not game breaking what so ever ( for me )
(more of an annoyance to get used to) sense I figured out fairly fast that all I had to do was click 'next' to get to the screen i wanted when looking for manpower and force limit.
But to be fair, it was a random guess on my part when trying to find the screen i was looking for, because i knew it existed and i hoped that there was a easy way to get to it. I could not imagine that the Devs would make it that much harder to get to the manpower screen. I assume that most people would not assume this and just get mad.

But for the long run, IMO , whole thing needs to be made where we can find all the data that we need for each country by selecting it on the world map and picking an option rather then having to go to the ledger and sort though the damn thing to find the relevant data through different tabs that are annoying to navigate between.

You don't need to make all the data easily accessible ether as that can make for a bloated UI, but im assuming it would be easy to make it where you click on a country and are able to click on its flag, like you do to set it as a country of interest, and look up the data that is most relevant that players usually look at (manpower, force limit, total score, loans, treasury , income , Stability , Prestige , Tech , professionalism... etc. etc. ) .

I realize that in MPs with locked ledger I guess you'd rather access army quality tab first...?

Possible to change the preferred tab in case of locked ledger for MP then?

As army qual = nice to know, but we did without successfully and this can be approximated by a quick check of idea groups and knowledge of specific modifiers. Army size = essential to know (if the info is accessible), and is a lot more variable and depends on building count etc.
