Why do you prever Europa Universalis 4 over Crusader Kings 2?

Because I haven't bought any ck2 dlc since Way of Life 3 years ago
They're just now fixing some of my grievances with the game too (early game no cbs for catholics lots of waiting and claim fabricating) but I don't have the money to buy Horse Lords, Conclave, Reapers Due, Monks and Mystics, and Jade dragon.

CK2 Feels outdated, and unstable, and in general becomes boring way to fast. If/when CK3 comes, I will play it. but CK2 doesn't feel any fun, I tried comming back to it, but ended up abondoning it several times.

Have you tried any of the mods for it? I have not, but then I don't like the gameplay. But, as an example. I couldn't play Mount and Blade until the Clash of Kings mod came out, now I've sunk 100s of hours into it.

I like EU4 way better because it's a less silly game. On the topic, my wife prefers CK2 "because it's like The Sims" (I still have to force her to watch me playing any).

Yup, I do have over 1000 hours on it I even modded it myself, so yeah I tried countless other mods which enhanced the game in masny way. But at some point, enough was enough. I do plan to play it again and get some achievements (like playing from 768 to 1300 something) but I fear it may be a while before I do.
