Is it possible to disable POP assimilation?
One might wonder why I would want to do so, but it isn't that strange. Well from a game play perspective it's totally moronic, but never mind. I don't think it's very realistic that immigrants e.g. would become something different from what they were when they left their home country, for example a Lithuanian will still be a Lithuanian in Canada. Their ethnicity will be kept.

I know that it's not referred to as ethnicity in the game but as culture, but I think it's more interesting to see it as their ethnicity rather than their culture.

Well none of this matters if it's not possible to modify the assimilation so that's why the main question remains: Is it possible? If so how? Have somebody thought of this before?

It is not possible to disable assimilation, though I agree that the process is highly unrealistic and a lot too fast (and isn't based on enough factors). Some people are actually changing the source code to improve it and possibly add new features. Maybe this will be changed, maybe not.

Okay, that's a bit sad, but if it's impossible then you have to accept it. Thanks for the reply though.

These changes they're doing, do they concern the speed of assimilation, as in slowing the process down? If that's possible then maybe that could be an option ...
