Anyone other allways have this goal in EU3?

My first priority is to kick turks out of Balkans!

Then to get rid off every trace of Islam in Europe!

Then convert anatolia, and free the holy land!

Also i allways wannt to sabotage France and England!

And i allways wannt to support Sweden!

Ps. this is not meant as a bad post, its humor thats all! (I have ADHD so i can be clumsy sometime)

I personally am in the midst of a streak of inheriting Sweden games. The only ones of my last 8 games I didn't PU Sweden were the Ottomans, Cherokee, and Sweden games. Castille, Milan, England, TO, and now Muscowy have all PUed and later inherited Sweden without wars (Russia did claim the throne and almost got into a succession war with Austria but the emporer died 3 months before Sweden's king).

Catholicism is best in game IMHO. Gives you prestige, crusades, excommunication, BB reduction and stab cost reduction from controlling papacy. I think it is best religion for a WC. Pitty there is no catholic horde in game .

But if you want to be serious, one of those religions is a damn sight more authoritarian, draconian and reactionary than the other one. One of them also has the Pope!

Hehe this goal is quite common in my games too (if I don't play Muslims, of course... that would be quite insane!) It kind of goes naturally, Islamic nations serve as excelent punching bags (less infamy for holy wars and, if I recall correctly, less BB too), have some good provinces, give bonuses for Mecca & Jerusalem. And if you conquer their provinces, conversion is usually the next natural step you make, for less RR, more taxes and to occupy these missionaries with something...

Playing an east asian country and force converting your way through asia is much more fun i think. Just imagine a shinto India or a hindu Korea.

Whenever I play European after completing my goals in europe (unification of some sort) crusading just seems the natural thing to do. But then when trying to do it the opposite way (converting christians) I always get backstabbed by my islam buddies...what a shame, turning the pope islamic would be so much fun

That is why there should be possiblity to call Jihad for muslims. I think it should need having title of khalifa, and should have a duration like crushades...

Not realy, for few reasons :
It is entirely different. For muslim =/= christianity, so rather kind of other system.
There would be kind of many kind like "popes"(yeah i know about the great western schism, but its not the point) for islam.
Also, hinduism, as not realy one religion, but a religion type that is simmiliar thruout india, and there are not realy hinduist "sects", as there is no great and only one hinduism. It is like with any polytheistic religion - every god mean another relgion, it is just they don't fight each other because they do believe in many of those religions, at a time. So for hinduism there would not be a holy war - or - not crushade or jihad like holy war.

This is becoming off topic, but allowing Muslim countries meeting certain requirements to claim the title of Caliph, with more options, would indeed be a very fun thing. Unfortunatelly I know too little about the subject to propose the changes, but some nice featureswould be

- calling a Jihad (pretty straight forward)
- Every single Sunni/Shia country who borders a combatant would get an instant call to arms, if a heathen attacked the Caliph (What I mean by that is that if Crusader Egypt would attack the Jalarids, who became caliph, Jemen and Nadż would get a call to arms, if any of them joins, Oman would - but Bengal or Suahili would never get it - prevents stupid wars.

I don't know how would one claim to be the rightful Caliph, though... a logical idea would be by having Bagdad and Mecca, but that would only make human players be a possibility.
