Viajayanagara's forces are at zero morale five days before the a retreat is even possible. Doesn't that mean the army is supposed to get stack wiped?

Second screenshot shows the enemy army retreating from the battle, but they have retreated one day before they should have been allowed?

So why is the AI not only allowed to fight at 0.00 morale, but also allowed to retreat prior to the completion of the second shock phase?

Retreats are possible after 6 days, no? Then I can't imagine how they'd run out of morale in one day. Further, the 0.00 morale might simply be an error in displaying the average morale. Also, I believe there is a grace period of stackwiping.

Unless it's been changed, retreats can only occur after 12 days.

It could be a bug, but he does have a large number of troops with a good number of cannons. The tooltip could be incorrectly showing the average morale as stated already. Other than that, if you had very bad rolls (a 0 against their 9), you may not have done enough morale damage to actually bring all their troops to 0 morale. If that is the case, the army would not shatter.

I've seen it before in my own games, I'm not an expert on combat by any means though.

I think this is some weird bug that i have encountered before. The Morale of the enemy goes down to 0 but the battle keeps going and going where im loosing men but the enemy is not loosing anything and the whole thing ends in the enemy somehow retreating.
Tho, this is something that i have noticed less in the latest patches.
I noticed this the most i think in Vicky 2.

I think you also need at least a 2:1 ratio if it goes past the first 2 phases, before they can be stacked wiped in a battle? I know of the 10:1 rule, and if they reach 0 morale in the first 2 phases, but always thought there needed to be a 2:1 ratio before they could be stack wiped during a battle if it goes past the first fire/shock phases or it would just cause them to retreat at the end.
