why conquer provinces

Is it worth it to conquer backwards states so they can benefit from your technology? I think a conquered Peru, for example, would produce more iron and sulfer than a native controlled one, even if the workers receive less income. If it is a resource you need / that is valuable, shouldn't taking the province from a low tech nation boost it's output?

It should be increasing the output, but it won't make your richer unless you're selling them more industrial goods.

Because their POPs also demand more goods with tech advancement. (raising demands for goods a lot)

Conquering foreign lands is where it's at. Who cares if the pops aren't cultured and don't generate as much? They're still generating! In my Japan game, I took Indonesia from the Dutch and it's pumping out factories. With Eastern China taken, I've also got massive factories going in there as well. With the Socialist Full Citizenship party I can employ hundreds of Chinese pops. That's TONS of production.

My industrial score isn't as high as that other guy's but that's because I do things a little differently. I *HATE* seeing empty RGO's. I **REFUSE** to ever have them with less than their full contingent of workers. I don't expand them (except Precious Metal ones) but I keep splitting until the smallest worker sizes are all that's there. I just like having full everything.
