I'm playing a religion with the Recruitment doctrine for the first time but my... err, priest fella (I forget the Slovian word for them) is still not eligible to be a champion. He gets the Prowess bonus from the doctrine but he just doesn't show up in the list of potential champions. I want him to stab things for me, what am I doing wrong here?

For some reason you also need the cultural tradition warrior priests. Similarly, if you have warrior priests you also need recruitment clergy.

I am not sure if this behavior is intentional or a bug.

You ALSO need the warrior priests cultural tradition, unfortunately. RIP to anyone without Royal Court.

I'm going to assume it's a bug because having to take both just to do one thing seems a bit silly.
