Why can't my partner see "events" ?

No need for my nephew to be host (as per other post). I can host and he can join. We play the boxed (retail) version with the 1.2 patch. We share Germany so I can teach him better (I can see what he is doing). For some reason he can see the popups except for the major political events, like on Jan. 3rd 1936 Germans demand we move into the Rhineland. He cannot, for some reason see those events. We both have manpower bug at 0.36 (it's in the right place).

Any idea why he can't see the political events in "share countries" mode? Thanks a lot.

Thank you for your help but I saw no option for a Major Political Event for "our" country. If I play Germany, I cannot disable the message that appears on Jan. 3rd, 1936, telling me that the German people demand a reoccupation of the Rhineland. I cannot enable or disable such a message. I will always see it. For some reason, my nephew can't see it although we share countries. He can see all the other popups. Any ideas? Thanks again.

I found this problem in the few MP games I played. I think it might be a bug. I'd wait to see if anyone better informed answers or try posting in the bug forum perhaps? Hope you can get it solved

yes there are things that I wish my partner could see. you could maybe right click if your partner didn't want or need to see it like any other pop up.

only the "main" player (the one to choose the country first) gets to choose in political events in co-op mode. Otherwise the game would surely crash if two players clicked on two different options in an event at the same time, I would assume
