Why can't I load a saved game???

Just playing for the first time tonight, made a ton of mistakes, and want to load the save game with my start position. Unfortunately, after I choose options and get the game management screen, my options are 'save' 'options' 'surrender' 'hints' and 'return'. No option to 'load' saved game from this screen? What is going on with this? I am running Victoria with SF NA 1.01 patch.

Help!!!

Surrender. Then Load.

Yes, I just did that.

Just not as convenient as being able to load off of the general game menu as in EU2 and HOI.

Thanks for the solution, however. I am enjoying the game so far -- looks fantastic.

In EU2 there were some bugs if you loaded a game while you were allready playing a game. I don`t know, but perhaps thats the reason why loading a game from within a game is no longer possible.

Icarus has it right. Loading an existing saved game from within an existing was causing too many problems, so the option was removed.
