Why can't I force take capital?

We have updated our Community Code of Conduct. Please read through the new rules for the forum that are an integral part of Paradox Interactive’s User Agreement.
Because the game is stupid and coastal provinces dont count as isolated. Even if the sole other province is landlocked in America.
Damn it. I could have sworn it worked like that. So I'll have to annex them altogether just to capture Istanbul? Barring any tag switching
Yes. Either that or use rebels. In my game with HRE, Palermo and Stockholm are the only provinces i dont control because their owners have tiny colonial empires. The AI will however try to move its capitol away in that case, but rebels=no capitol moving. And these tiny colonial empires are swarming with rebels...
