Alright, I have this problem virtually every time I try to create a political party. No matter what I do short of deleting another party to use its slot, parties I create don't show up.

Take Mexico, who I'm making a party for. Here's what I've got:
Code:
country;id;name;start;end;ideology;Economic;Trade;Religious;Minority;War;Culture;Religion;Status
MEX;14800;Partido Conservador;1830;2000;conservative;interventionism;protectionism;moralism;residence;jingoism;all;all;x
MEX;14801;Partido Liberal;1830;2000;liberal;laissez_faire;free_trade;moralism;limited_citizenship;pro_military;all;all;x
MEX;14802;Partido Federalista;1830;2000;anarcho_liberal;laissez_faire;free_trade;pluralism;limited_citizenship;anti_military;all;all;x
MEX;14803;Partido Moderado Liberal;1853;2000;conservative;interventionism;protectionism;moralism;limited_citizenship;pro_military;all;all;x
MEX;14804;Partido Radical Liberal;1853;2000;liberal;laissez_faire;free_trade;moralism;residence;anti_military;all;all;x
MEX;14805;Partido Progresista;1911;2000;liberal;laissez_faire;free_trade;secularized;limited_citizenship;anti_military;all;all;x
MEX;14806;Partido Constitucionalista;1913;2000;conservative;interventionism;protectionism;pluralism;residence;pro_military;all;all;x
MEX;14807;Partido Antireelecionista;1909;2000;liberal;laissez_faire;free_trade;secularized;limited_citizenship;anti_military;all;all;x
MEX;14808;Partido Imperialista;1830;2000;reactionary;state_capitalism;protectionism;moralism;residence;jingoism;all;all;x
MEX;14809;Partido Socialist;1848;2000;socialist;planned_economy;protectionism;secularized;full_citizenship;anti_military;all;all;x
MEX;14810;Partido Communist;1848;2000;communist;planned_economy;protectionism;atheism;full_citizenship;pro_military;all;all;x
MEX;14811;Partido Fascist;1905;2000;fascist;state_capitalism;protectionism;moralism;residence;jingoism;all;all;x
MEX;14812;Partido Radicala;1830;2000;liberal;laissez_faire;protectionism;secularized;full_citizenship;pro_military;all;all;x

My party is at the bottom there. I can't see anything wrong with it, yet the game refuses to recognise its existence. Is there something else I need to do?

EDIT: The spaces aren't there in the actual file. The Forum added them.

.csv files are notorious for not reading the last line if you do not leave a blank line AFTER the last line of text.

Similar things happen to province files.

So make sure that at the end of the new party line, you hit "return" to start a new line.

Modding in notepad makes this much easier, as it allows you to be able to see if you have a blank full line at the end. If your cursor at the end ends at the last line of the party, you know you need to hit return to have the cursor start at the next line.

Note however, you want only 1 blank line, if you end up with 2 or more, you will end up with problems.

Ahh...

Now it works. I wish I'd known it was that simple back when I first started modding the game.

Thanks. :)
