I'm really confused... I'm finding it near-impossible to arrange marriages with myself in 867 as a Venetian Patrician (RD'd)

I'm basically limited to anyone on the Arrange Marriage window (accessed from the Ring icon on your character), which seems to be a bunch of Irish women related to Counts. I can't arrange any marriages outside of that window; I don't show up in the character list.

I have a Lowborn courtier in my court, who's pretty suitable to be a wife stat-wise. She's unmarried, and in my court, so I should be able to arrange the marriage to me, right? Nope. She doesn't show up on the list. I'm able to marry her off to other courtiers though.

Is there some sort of secret criteria for marriages for Patricians now?

I had the same problem my friend and wondered about it for some time. I beleive its because you are too low a level teir title, seems like the game wasnt fully opera rational for the barony level tittles. Become a count level and you should be good. In the mean time use the character finder and select great houses to no

Just go to diplomacy menu with yourself, that courtier should show up.
The arrange marriage window are not showing everyone who would agree. You need the character finder -> diplomacy for many.

I said, she doesn't show up when I try to arrange marriage for myself. The game won't let me marry certain characters (despite being lowborn and in my court).

That looks strange. I don't think a Patrician is designed to be unable to marry lowborns, considering there is no such block for kings. Also, in my republic game all sorts of women pop up, although sometimes with hefty bride prices to pay, but there are definitely more options available through the people finder. For example, I wanted to marry my son to someone good. There were only few options on the Arrange screen. But I went to the people finder, arranged by stats etc. and found a lot more. Including a woman who was a random courtier without a family (one step above lowborn), who was definitely not of a higher rank than he was. Nor was there any bride money to pay. Or a gift needed to her current liege. Nothing. Marriageable right away. So I don't know why she didn't appear on the Arrange screen.

What do you mean by "choose yourself first". I tried every way I know and still can't marry my Patrician to the woman I would like to because he plain and simply does not appear in the marriage window as an option. Does anyone have a solution, hack, quick fix, something for this problem?

This is getting even weirder. I married one of my courtiers to a woman from another court (one that I would have wanted for my patrician). I killed my courtier. Now that woman appears in my marriage window (when I click the rings from my patrician's profile). Yet the send button from the marriage proposal is grayed out with no explanation (overlay) why that marriage is not possible. The woman has a positive opinion on me.

When you find a woman you want to marry. Go to that rulers diplo options whose court she is. Chose marriage option from the options, then chose yourself first on the left potrait slot and only after that chose the woman on the right one. Don't go through the womans personal diplomatic options but the rulers whose court she is. Thats what I ment.

Try this. Go to find character. Select woman not in prison not married no ruler yes religion any culture yes adult no great house and you should be able to find a wife.

Also post a screen shot of your ruler.

Found the issue. Somehow this all marriage stuff breaks if using the Dynasty Ruler DLC to create a character. If using the default starting Patricians works as you explained.

Did you pick a low fertility or some fertility lowering traits? That makes you ineligible to marry anyone fertile.

This was my issue; I was using a RD ruler I made.

Has this been noted on the bug forums?
