The rail connection to Odessa is cut but I have a nice port there along with another in Sevastopol. Why aren't my troops resupplying via naval convoy? I have plenty of convoys.
There is a flaw in the current sea supply system: it will select one preferred port and try to supply everything from there. For the USSR, the preferred port is Leningrad by default, and I'm guessing that route is blocked.
No. The convoys are just cut. It has been bug reported and the devs have said they are working on fixing this. What happens if he were to manually set the Baltic Sea to never allow convoys to traverse through it? Will the preferred port change?
It would probably just say no supply connection found. What happens if he were to manually set the Baltic Sea to never allow convoys to traverse through it? Will the preferred port change?
AFAIK, the port does not change if you block sea zones. What happens if he were to manually set the Baltic Sea to never allow convoys to traverse through it? Will the preferred port change?

But that's how Soviets always supplied Far East pre-NSB, unless you bothered to build a ton of infra. This is EXTRA "FUN" when you invade Japan as a Soviets, as all your supply comes from Leningrad, rather than Vladivostok. And this means your supply most likely goes full course Tsushima trip across Africa before reaching anywhere near Far east.
