Why are there no posts in the Forum: EUIV: FAQ & Strategy Guides?

I click on the "Forum: EUIV: FAQ & Strategy Guides" section and it says:

"There are no posts in this forum."

But I am sure there has to be stuff there? How do I access it? Thanks!

I would wager that you need to register your game first. Click on the "my games" tab at the top of the forum.

Yep, see the little icons under my name? That's from using the Steam Key to register on this forum that I actually own a legit copy of the game and lets you into the other areas of the forum.

I can see the posts in there, but it won't let me post anything or comment, it seems to be a pretty locked up forum. There's better info on the Wiki

This is a big part of why. PI for some reason has an aversion to a dedicated strategy & tips subforum, which would probably be the best forum in EU IV if they actually made it + didn't make it "register only".

Instead, it's just a junk repository for dated strategy guides.

i tried to post my PU and claim throne guide there ages ago, but it seems they locked it. Pity.

There are a number of good people that do EUIV Lets plays, which are a good way to watch how others play and give inspiration.

I have seen a couple of them actually do Tutorial videos as well (Arumba, Quill18 etc)

This forum is the best place. Everything else, most especially the locked and dusty FAQ/Strategy section, quickly goes out of date.

i asked a moderator, and it is not locked. You just have to ask permission to move your guide there, and after while they might copy it to it.

Posting a strategy guide is quite a bit different from having a strategy discussion. Especially when most strategy guides for this game would be disputed and other people's ideas would be equally important as the guide itself.

Unfortunately, Paradox doesn't see it as important though. I for one got tired of digging through the main forum trying to find them and just gave up.

Yeah, but it's a lot easier to spend 30 minutes reading through a good guide than it is to watch multiple hours of let's plays to get the same information.
