The Ottomans seiged a province, they have no claim. Syria has a core on it. I have AoW but they wont transfer it to me or Syria. Why?

But Me+Syria wants it more. I do Najd approve of this.
Who and who? The Ottomans only sees and hears significant nations - all others are just meat to be ground.

Well, now you know why everyone hates the Ottomans :D

But seriously. The Ottoman AI is extremely aggressive. There are a few rules if you want a peaceful coexistence. One of them is never border their lands (just never) because they will turn hostile on you immediately. And second to never let them occupy anything because exactly that happens if you let them. So it's better to use them as a wrecking ball whilst you are roguelike sniping your needed provinces (this also conserves a lot of manpower)

On the topic of reminders, note that the mission "conquer the Levant" requires the Ottomans to have a border with Mamluks, so try to prevent them from ever getting that mission chain.

Sure, they might still get a little generic "wants your provinces" butthurt, but it's the mission claims that will tank them to -200 instantly. Najd can easily grab Syria and maintain Otto alliance for centuries, though I eventually turned on them in my Najd game once I was much stronger.

Um, why is your QQ the olive color? Mine is always blue.

He's apparently on an older version (some evidence of this due to no apparent forts with siege percentages in OP), possibly to avoid the heavy-handed nerf job Najd was given for no reason in common sense patches. He's operating with an Iqta and 5% missionary strength tradition. Players these days get 2% missionary strength and...tribal federation. The former was a pointless nerf that, while annoying, doesn't change much in practice. The latter is something you really feel though, fewer relations + no -LA is pretty different from having ticking -LA from day 1.

The stated reason for the missionary strength nerf was that Najd doesn't need it any more to get the achievement (as if the achievement's ever been hard after it was changed to only needing 500 provinces...there hasn't been one patch where you even need religious with the 500 province requirement, including now). This is odd because only Najd got nerfed down. The stated reason for the tribal federation is no reason. That got glossed over in the thread about missionary strength mostly, despite that it's the bigger nerf-job by far.

AFAIK it's because the interior of Arabia didn't have a strong central structure until the House of Saud. Though government forms and their application is usually a lackluster thing in eu4.
