I have conquered and cored all of Iberia including the islands in the Med and Atlantic. I can't even find the achievement in the list of achievements that I am able to unlock. I can see other achievements and am on Ironman. When I started the run I was able to see it. I think it may have disappeared when I formed Andalusia but that was required for the achievement. The EU IV wiki says that achievements can disappear when a new nation is formed but it will unlock once the requirements are unlocked. Is the achievement bugged for me or I am missing something?

Have you tried saving the game, exiting to desktop and restarting the game and loading from the save?
Have you checked your list of completed achievements (in Steam) to see if it's already there? Perhaps you missed the popup in the lower right earlier?

@grotaclas I have attached my save file. You can ignore the name. :D
I had a look at your save. According to the save, you are eligible for the following achievements:
"A Blessed Nation", "A Sun God", "Back in Control", "Blood for the Sky God!", "Dar al-Islam", "Empire of Mann", "Great Moravia", "Home and Away", "I don't like sand", "It's All Greek To Me", "Keep the Flame Burning", "Mewar Never Change
s", "One nation to rule them all", "Philippine Tiger", "Protect the Secret", "Sleepless in Seattle", "Stiff Upper Lippe", "Sun Invasion", "Sweet Home Qaraqorum", "The Freest Man in the World", "The Sun Never Sets on the Indian Empire",
"This is Persia!", "Why is the Rûm gone!?", "Winged Hussars".Are all the achievements which you see ingame in this list? Some of them will not be shown ingame, because you don't fulfill their visible requirements(e.g. "A blessed nation" is only visibleif you are coptic).

The save doesn't list any achievements which you got in this run. Is this correct or did you get any other achievements which are not listed?

You fulfill all completion requirements for re-reconquista, but you can't get it, because it is not in the list of achievements for which you are eligible.

You also definitely started as Granada and the other achievements show that you also fulfilled all the generic starting conditions. I have only two ideas why the re-reconquista achievement is not in the list:
  • you already got the achievement. Have you double checked it in steam? Maybe it registered the achievement in a way which doesn't show up in the save.
  • somehow the game rechecked the starting conditions for the achievement after you formed Andalusia at which point you were not Granada anymore. But I have never seen such a case and I don't know why the game would do that
Do you happen to have an older backup in which the achievement is still shown from which you could continue your run?

Is he running the correct version of the game where the achievement is possible?
Re-reconquista has been in the game since version 1.4 and you can see in the screenshot that the map has the 1.28 changes to Iberia(e.g. Tenerife and more provinces in the Baleares) and the 1.30 changes in central Europe(besides all the other changes to the interface since version 1.4). And in the save you can see that the game version is 1.34.5.

I didn’t think it was likely, but if they’re meeting all the other criteria and it’s still not firing then it’s time to throw spaghetti on the walls and see if anything sticks.

Thank you for your help on this issue. In response to your points I definitely did not have the achievement unlocked as I have now since got it through alternative means and it popped as normal. I think your point about the game re checking the starting conditions is correct but I don't know what would have caused this.
