No one has ever been around Rome so no pillaging, got grain and 'go forth and multiply' for a total +5% growth, but i am losing population. it went from 29/29/15 to 26/26/13 or something, why?

the answer is colonisation. Whenever you create a new colony, 2 of the 4 population for the new colony come from your capital. The other 2 come from the province you are colonising from. The best way to work against that loss in the capital is go hunting for barbarians, when killed totaly they bring slaves for your country and your capital always gets the biggest part.
