Why AA regiments in division so useless to hit enemy planes ?

I meant not AA structures, but AA brigs in division.
I pack about 5-6 AA brigades in 40-width divisions on the front. Yes, they reduce enemy air superiority just as digits in battle window. That's all.

Planes that they hits (5-6 AA brigades !!) are close to ZERO.
How it's work and can I hit enemy planes over battlefield without own interceptors ?

Divisional AA shoots down planes on CAS missions that are attacking during a battle, and it does a decent job. It's not a replacement for having your own fighters, just like provincial AA cannot stop strategic bombing on its own.

Pretty much as it went historically. Ever try to shoot down fighters in War Thunder? If they ain't specifically going after you- or something really close to you- it's like trying to cut flies out of the sky with an Exacto Knife.

For Fighters in particular (really AA in general in this period but specifically against Fighters), it's all about deterrence- keeping those aircraft from taking the risk to begin with- which is why they lower Air Superiority. With enough AA, you can actually often just completely negate the Air Superiority penalty, though this comes at a pretty heavy cost.

Having small numbers of AA in divisions is useless unless you want to negate air superiority penalty. AA does better when its stacked in single divisions. Putting 15 aa brigades in one division is far more effective at shooting down planes than spreading them out among 15 divisions. Divisions in reserve can shoot down planes, so what I do is I build 4 super AA divisions with 500 AA attack, and when I'm in a defensive battle I'll move these AA divs into the fight and have them sit in reserve. They won't shoot down planes every day, but when they do score a hit they'll kill 100 planes per shot. Just make sure the AA divs don't enter combat because they have very low HP.
