A brief two hours at DCU on Friday, and hopefully I won't return until there until 2011! Two years of solid Victo... Crap, I still have uni.
I think this announcement sort of implies that Vicky2 is a gift to the fans as opposed to a game developed for business reasons. If true, thank you very much PI.
Part of the reason why we picked Victoria II was because it consistently won polls for our next title.
I'm not overjoyed about this, but I'll give the game a fair chance. More politics is always fun, and if I'm lucky, I can automate the economy.
Considering the convincing that Johan had to do to get Fredrik on board for Victoria 2 I think it's safe to say it was not primarily a business decision. So now it's up to you to prove Johan was right in sticking his neck out

Show me where to pre-order and I'll do it now! Though I still think this will sell well, and I bet the outlay isn't as much as it was for HoI3, so it could end up being a good business decisions too! If there's a good tuturial, that is...
I guess that'll be the first game ever that I have to preorder.
Edit: Very true statement about the tutorial, RedRalphWiggum. I think Vicky would have sold much better with such simple additions as a good tutorial and a sexy cover picture. (Think young Victoria, a bunch of boys in Blue & Grey, Prussians, steam engines ... and a Zeppelin!)

This has to be the best piece of gaming news I have read is quite some time! Thank you Paradox, Victoria has been my favourite video game of all time, I'm actually afriad to try and work out how many hours I've put into the title.

I was thinking of sending Paradox a case of beer to thank them for Vicky 2, but I guess the money's better spend buying the game.... twice (boxed and digital download)
