Started a new game tonight that will hopefully turn into my first AAR. One of the main characters in it I planned to be Sir Hugh Sinclair, head of MI6 in Great Britain.

Unfortunately, he was replaced as Head of Intelligence by the AI after just a few weeks in 1936. The new Head of Intelligence is an Industrial Specialist Head of Intelligence called SP James.

I have tried Google and Wiki but have been unable to find anything at all about him. Does anyone in here (e.g. from the UK or just with a good history book) know who he was or where I might find good info?

Cheers,

:) Jesper

How and why he then become a head of intelligence is unknown to me
See the WHO prize thing.
Such person would surely be popular and regarded to as specialist of sorts.
He's probably given head of intelligence position due to his military background (which is unavailable to us as far as I've searched).

SP James a fascist??

Well, this just keeps getting more and more weird! I continued playing last night and went back to the UK diplomacy screen to take another look at our mysterious SP James - Head of Intelligence.

And then I discover that he is a fascist?? And the rest of the UK government is Market Liberals?? Shouldn't that be impossible? I seem to remember that a minster can only be one ideology level removed from the country's political ideology?

This is not true.

Start as Japan.
F12->'event 1' (2-2-6 event) -> 'enter'

Choose second choice (listen to their demands).

Now, you're National Socialist.

Now, go to Chief of Staff and change to the one having Fire Support -> He's Social Conservative, a good 3 positions away from your ideology.

Also Hindenburg (available Intelligence minister) in Germany is Paternal Autocrat, while Germani is National Socialist..

Fascists, Peternal Autocrats and National socialists can be viewed as "related", but a fascists and liberals is NOT "related"
