Victoria 2 is available on Steam. It seems to work quite well with wine too (this might help you).Meanwhile, please release Victoria II on Steam for us using GNU/Linux. Running it with Wine is far from perfect.

Hey, thanks. I do have Victoria 2 on Steam, but didn't quite get it to run properly with Wine. I've meant a native version. Anyway, I will try again using the tips on that thread. Cheers.Victoria 2 is available on Steam. It seems to work quite well with wine too (this might help you).
Ah, I see. However, I fear it's not economically sensible for PDX to create a GNU/Linux port for Victoria 2 now after all those years.Hey, thanks. Vicky III just got announced! With a new name though, now it's about managing pops in Mars!I want the announcement of vic 3 this week end!!!![]()
Maybe we all should comment "Is this Victoria III?" under all announcements. It worked last timeI want the announcement of vic 3 this week end!!!![]()

That beginning... dick move...Vicky III just got announced! With a new name though, now it's about managing pops in Mars!
And the year after that, and the year after that etc.As much as I would have liked Vic III to be announced this weekend it was always going to be highly unlikely.
Everything points out to the game starting developement last spring when King joined as game director of an unknown project and Wiz became director of stellaris instead of becoming director of an unknown project (probably the same and Vic III is probably the only title where King would be better suited than Wiz, especially when you consider how enthusiastic Wiz was over V2).
This means that realisticaly the game is not going to be released before Q1 2019 at least and although they probably could've announced it this year, I fear that the HOI4 situation is still to fresh in the memories at PDS for them to announce anything that is not about one year from release anymore.
So let's rather cross our fingers for next year.
Very dissappointed right now. Really sad to see Paradox choosing to become a low budget indie gaming developer/Publisher. I thought paradox con would be used for great announcement, not unknown dissappointing games.
