Who wants Rome 2?

Guys its coming soon. Notice how paradox games seem to coincide with releases from Creative Assembly? Shogun Total War II with Sengoku, medieval total war with Crusader Kings. And Rome Total War II is gonna be massive, Paradox would be foolish not to chime in on the Rome fever that will happen come next year.

I think they are making EUIV as a response to Rome Total War II.That being said I'd like a Rome2 based off of CK2.

What I would like to see is CK2 transfered into the ancient world. But I'm not sure how Rome 2 can work with characters (dynasties?) taking precedence over the country.

CA adding paradoxy features would be a gamer's dream and would probably force Paradox to step up a bit. Won't happen though.

But I don't think Paradox and CA are really competitors at this point. Paradox games fill that grand strategy niche and Total War is really the only thing around with that visceral tactical combat. Although, the King Arthur series had potential they really screwed the pooch on with the sequels.

Hi guys. Believe it or not, I have just recently found out about Paradox Interactive and their war games. As you can probably imagine, I have been playing all of them at once, so good they are. Any advice for mods in EU: Rome? Do mods concerning Paradox games actually exponentially enhance the vanilla gaming experience? Tips for installing them via steam would be also very welcomed.

Epigoni and Lofmod are good for Rome, there are a few more but I can't recall them right now.

Why doesn't Rome become an independent series? That way it can have it's own lot of mechanics, incorporated from all the other games (only the features necessary to the theme), plus make some of it's own.

Rome is good, and it would benefit immensely from just 1 or 2 expansion packs' worth of love.

A whole new game incorporating CKII and EUIV ideas, and getting the love that both of the games are getting/will get would be truly amazing. Especially if the timeline was extended. Imagine, starting as Rome just after the age of kings, building up your small insignificant city into the center of the world, or steering the later empire through it's demise, or trying to lead your wandering barbarian tribe to a new homeland and military glory.

Personally I am waiting for Rome 2.
I never bought Rome 1 and I have no intention of doing so now that the game looks so outdated.
So a new updated Rome 2 is what I want.
