How is it determined who gets the province when there are a bunch of allies helping you in a siege?
It just seems weird, there are times I've been sieging alone for all but the last three months, then an ally rocks up with less troops, helps knock it off, and gets control of the province! Crazy!

This has however worked in my favour during a different game, so what's the deal?

If no one army has any leader, then the one who arrives first command the siege. But if there is a leader (or more) comes into the siege, then the owner of the highest ranked leader will take over the siege. A reason why leader is important :).

You can see which nation is currently in command of the siege by looking at the siege window and seeing which flag is displayed.

It always seems that whenever I'm besieging a fortress for an extended period of time, my allies will come in when the city will fall any day and steal the siege. Sometimes I want to burn this game.
