The problem is the human player(s) can put a monkey wrench in any thing you come up with. The human player(s) have a huge impact on how the game unfolds. The Paradox events have the same problems though. Look at some of the Spanish events like expulsion of the moors, the Creation of the Adelusian CoT. All assume that Spain will own those provinces and the events happen even if the moors own those provinces.

I think this is going to be a problem as long as the AI doesn't have any of the balancing factors that historically kept Germany divided but independent. Perhaps if the Emperor gets a CB on anyone who annexes part of the HRE, and then actually uses it? I've seen AIs with historical CBs sit about doing nothing, though admittedly I was "hated through the entire world" at the time and at war with all three nations involved, which perhaps explains it. :D

Yes!, See my post above on the effects of the human player. :)

I've seen Hanover do well more often than not. The four German nations that I've ever seen do *really* well are Saxony, Brandenburg, Bohemia, and Hanover.

You have never seen Brandenburg do well?
It has often done very well in my games.

Doh! That is exactly what I did.
Long day, my appologies all round.

Also, wouldn't such an event make the game run really really slow?

Can't test it right now because I'm not my own computer.

I thought if you did not specify a nation it happened to the human player. Not sure though.
