It's now 1134 and I hold territory across the British Isles and the Mediterranean; Ireland, Scotland, Northern England, Majorca, Crete and Cyprus. I'm trying to avoid setting foot on the continent as it's been soundly split between a resurgent Ummayad Caliphate and the Khazarian steamroll.

Have two games that I've been bouncing back and forth between:

1. non-Ironman, A Game of Thrones Mod
2. The Iron Throne
3. Blackfyre Rebellion
4. Duke

Started that one as Daemon Blackfyre and won the rebellion. I'm now in my third generation of Blackfyre kings, have my own dragon, and have begun the conquest of the Stepstones and Free Cities.

1.non-Ironman, After the End Mod
2. State of Gotham
3. the only startdate
4. Duke

Created a custom character of House La Guardia (seemed an appropriate name). Still on my initial character who is now 71 years old. Most notable thing in this one thus far was my systematic elimination of the entire Falcone family after their Patriarch embarrassed me at a gala. First time I've ever went full out 'KILL EM ALL' on an entire dynasty.

Felt goooooood.

After a long hiatus I (played 4 hearts of iron campaigns while waiting on the next installement) I restarted CK2.

Current playthrough.

1: Ironman, no Horse Lords DLC, disabled aztec invasion
2 Startdate: 769
3 High Chief of mozkova (modern moscow)
4: duke

This is my first time as a tribal ruler. The plan is to stick with gavelkind and always max out the number of concubines and land as many family members as possible.
My first ruler rapidly died leaving a 9 year old son as his only child. My tutor messed up severly and I ended up with a craven, shy, depressed, glutinous character.

When he came of age I immediatly took 3 concubines and a wife and put him on family focus and started expanding into the kingdoms of Rus, Bulgaria and Ruthenia. I finally managed to become the king of Rus and produced around 12 children (only 3 sons). While my sons where still underaged I managed to get maimed in a hunt and attracted syphilis in bed. Although I thought I was facing another regency my character is still alive . He is slowly descending into madness though. All sons are now adults but the vassals are getting upset because I keep replacing my council members with horses etc ... I also think I convicted 2 peasents to death for murders I commited.

Ironman as the (half?-) brother of the King of Abyssinia in 867, because he apparently got all the nice counties while his brother got a crappy one and the kingdom title. Needless to say, he didn't kept that title for long.

I immediately started letting my grandchildren be raised by ashkenasi Jews, so just 2 generations later, I had a proper jewish Kingdom in Africa. There is one branch of my family which is still Ethiopian after a hundred years, but for now I let them be. At some time they have to be culture-converted or die though.

My goal is to spread the Jewish faith and retake the Kingdom of Israel. I've taken everything In Abyssinia and Nubia, as well aa the duchies of Oman, Sanaa and Medina, making the Sunnis furious, but no Jihad was called against me yet. Sadly I've had to white peace out of the last war to take Arabia, as Abbasid allied to Persia throwing another two 15k stacks at me when I hardly was able to beat the first two was too much for me. I'm trying to secure Egypt first now. The jewish faith only spreads slowly with two converted provinces so far, even if its morale authority is now higher than the Sunni one. But up to now, that only leads to the surprisingly well doing Catholics in Spain flipping the provinces there back to catholicism very fast. But once the New Administration modifiers in Oman, Sanaa and Medina expire, I'm certain I can successfully fight the arab blobs.

My vast Akhun Khaganate, which holds all of the steppes. Think I'm going to stop expanding now, though, to both A) provide a challenge when the Mongols arrive and B) to focus on internal intrigue and politics among the clans.

1. Ironman; all DLC
2. Byzantium/Rome
3. 769
4. Empire

It's currently 1040 and I'm still missing two dutchies for the S.P.Q.R. achievement, but I have all of Brittania, Persia, Rajastan, half of Scandanavia and almost all of Arabia instead. In this game the Karlings managed to form a super Francia out of Francia and Germania but after a 100 years of inter-marrying and two deposed Emperor/Heirs of my dynasty I finally managed to crown myself Emperor and then proceeded to smash that crown and title out of existence the next day. After 200 years of being a major pain in the butt with their Jihads to Abbasids pretty much collapsed after the new Millennium. I previously managed to capture the Abbasid heir and manged to convert him into being a good Christian so I later released him and then invited him back and matri-married him to a bastard of my dynasty (I thought she was of my dynasty) I then Imposed his claim on the Empire three times and that of his sons an additional three times all of which caused massive rebellions that I whole-heartedly ate up. After I get the S.P.Q.R. achievement I plan on giving away the Empires of Germania, Arabia, Persia, Rajastan and the Kingdoms of Ireland, Scotland, Denmark and Norway to various dynasty members because the game is running unbearably slow, plus some competition is nice once I convert to EUIV.

2. Scandinavia, Erik the Heathen and his descendants.
3. Started in 1066, the year is now 1280.
4. Empire

I currently control all of the North Sea coast and a more-or-less unrivaled superpower (except maybe the Mongols). I have successfully fended off two crusades in the name of Odin. The Aztecs were beaten off without a fight. I have turned the North Sea and Baltic into my mare nostrum and my rule stretches from the coast of Aquitaine to deep into Russia, then down into Bulgaria. Many of these conquests were thanks to the ambitions of my underlords.

Just finished the following achievement run:

1 Ironman, all DLC enabled
2 Haraldr Fairhair Yngling, Duke of Ostlandet
3 867
4 Petty King

Started with a quick subjugation of a neighbour to hit 500 prestige to allow raising of a tribal army. This was used to take Taranto from the Sawdanids. Successive simulataneous wars saw the same Tribal army taking most of the rest of Southern Italy.

After reaching 1000 prestige an invasion of the Byzantine Empire was announced, followed by a bit more conquest. The invasion took Sicily, Greece and most of Anatolia, leading the the founding of the Principality of Miklagard. Unfortunately this custom empire used Greece as a base kingdom, leaving me with a bubblegum pink empire for the rest of the game.

From there the following achievements were picked up:

Trade Empire
Dream Home
Wise Guy (Young, genius ruler and a lucky quick Administrator trait)
Viking Ummah (quick switch to Sunni)
Kingdom of David (this sucked due to low Jewish MA)
Persistent Survivor (got a bit laggy in the last 50 years)
Beyond the Indus
Saint Thomas's Dream
Who Needs Vasco da Gama?
Sword to Ploughshare
Norse-East (jumped across one Duchy at a time)
And Stay Out!

Sadly missed Medieval Schlieffen as the Mongols somehow got destroyed by a much weaker Magyar horde. Quite fun overall, although Republics are OP as hell once you get going.

1. No ironman. No mods.
2. Mali.
3. Standard 1066.
4. Duke.

I'm learning how to Muslim, so I felt no need for Ironman. I started as that guy that holds most of Mali, formed the Kingdom and even went Feudal (well, Iqta) pretty quickly. I have some problems getting past the guys that replaced the Almoravids in decadence revolt. They hold Mauretania and most of Southern Hispania. It will probably get interesting (in the nonexistant Chinese proverb way) when the Aztecs show up.

Kidnapped and executed the high chief, passing the title to me. Expanded into de jure Lithuania and Rus to create the custom Kingdom of Liivimaa. Reformed Suomenusko with his son and went Feudal. Took the remainder of de jure Lithuania and pushed further into de jure Rus, which is overrun with Mordvins of my religion, in order to get a third kingdom title to make a custom empire.

With regard to the migrating, well, take a look:

This has been a really fun game. My current goal is to conquer all of Hispania and break away, forming an exarchate of Hispania and then attempting to restore the Roman Empire. I quickly became a duke by borrowing money from the Jews and then I turned into a Merchant republic to help ease the problem of fighting the Umayyads.

Conquered persia "empire" territory and converted them to Manichaen. Had two crusades against Byzantines and 1 against Armenia winning them all and handing that territory to "relatives". Revolution in kingdom of greece means there is a greek culture mani leader now. 100 religious authority barbarians are starting to convert.

In CK2+ manichaen is it's own major religiona nd it has some fun mechanics.

In this game i'm absolute cognatic as well have had 4 straight queens all with really high martial.

I'm surprised so many people are playing iron man. Such a shitty game mode, but those achivement!

2 Duchy of Pisa in Italy at the moment.
3 769
4 Count of Piombino (thats the non pisa county in the duchy of Pisa

My goal:
1. Go from Count of Piombino to King of Rome. Then conquer Italy. Form king of Sicily. Join Byzantine empire. Unite the Roman empire from within.

So far:

Start as count, chancellor claim on Pisa, took Pisa off duke of Tuscany. Since I need three duchies for custom kingdom of Rome the next quickest one is Genoa which I got rather quickly. So became a Super Duke in about 30 years (chancellor has been slow). My next target was the County of Latium not owned by the pope Orveito. Got that one quick So now 3 in 33 years. Now waiting on my chancelor to get me rome and its taking awhile. My son is a 24 (started as 28, but lost some good traits) chancellor. I saw a moment of weakness from the King of Lombardy and took it so I'm independant now. The pope jumped me while I was fighting which worked out great since he had to pay me for losing which has hurt him badly and I'm now sitting on 1,000 gold. Once Rome pops I'll take it and form the kingdom of Rome. Then I'll then conquer Italy. Oh forgot to mention I got a strong claim while Italy was in regency earlier which was lucky but I jumped on it. I think I'll have enough counties to make Sicily as well. I just hope my guy lives long enough for it all to work out.

Its possible I might instead try to form the "real roman empire" (not really, custom empire of rome, then try to defeat byzantine empire, my propaganda will be we are the real roman empire not them, yes I have imaginary propaganda campaigns in my head while playing) or go Holy Roman instead. Not 100% decided. I don't like forming Holy Roman Empire because I want to keep Rome as my capital.

Invaded russia, conquered the steppes converted to Russian, converted to Orthodox. Waiting for 1453 to roll on so I can play as Super Russia, I have been teching zerging and inbreeding to create the perfect ruler to have the strongest possible set up.

Francia has absorbed almost of all of Spain and Italy and the ERE is gigantic it will be interesting to see how it plays out.
