I just conquered Byzantium and i am wondering if I should break it up into vassal kingdoms or give it to my brother.

2. De Borja (Borgia) Campaign / Norse Dharmic or Norse Islamic Republic
3. 1337 / 867
4. Count (Had to land myself by loading up as the King first) / Duke

Running two different campaigns. One is playing the de Borjas, otherwise known as the infamous Borgias. One generation in and I'm set to inherit the Duchy of Aragon after murdering the entire ducal family (got lucky and rolled high intrigue). Normally the de Borjas are Barons in the 1337 bookmark, but I loaded up as the King of Aragon and gave them the County of Zaragoza and went from there. Hoping to at least become the Emperor of Hispania before the end date.

My second campaign is an achievement run, ideally for British Raj / Viking Ummah and some of the Republican achievements. Admittedly I started off as Sweden and even murdered my son's firstborn because his stats were terrible. Easily got down to Abyssinia, though I haven't quite gotten around to raiding for a concubine two generations in. Might just settle for becoming Ibadi before the Rustamid Emirate get eaten by the Umayyads. Amusingly enough I have nearly the entirety of the Emir's immediate family in my dungeon, and even taught a few of his sons how to be properly Norse.

2 Ascalon to Jerusalem
3 1180
4 Duchess

I'm playing Sybella, duchess of Ascalon in 1180. It's a neat start because I'm a widowed woman surrounded by infidels and heir to the kingdom Jerusalem, which almost always passes to me since my brother is leper. I also got a faction nearly immediately after becoming queen of Jerusalem to switch to elective so my heir is Isabella I. I'm not aiming for anything in particular and just enjoying the start. I did a much much better job at ruling Jerusalem than she and her husband historically did. and captured some pretty interesting spots. Rum then invaded Greece but with a lot of really really tight wars I managed to squeeze Rhodes, Cyprus, and Krete out of their hands. I hope to make a related crusader state in Egypt and Greece at some point but the muslims are still pretty strong and I find myself relying on my holy orders a bit too much.

2. Duchy of Aquitaine/Poitou
3. 769
4. Duke

Playing a "low impact" game as the Duke of Aquitine/Poitou/Burbon. Presently holding six holdings - five counties and one barony. Just won a Crusade which netted me a ton of land in the Iberian. After giving a decent sized chunk to the Knights Hospitaller and the Papacy to keep the Umayyads busy, I created four more Duchies and handed them out to family and loyal retainers. Not interested in anything but developing my little corner of the map - mostly Poitou. I may hand off Burbon eventuall, but for right now I'm the big swinging sword of the Kingdom, and my creation of four more Dukes is basically a petty revenge at the liege jacking one of my provinces about fifty game years back. While I have no real desire to rule, I'm testing to see if my creation of those ducal titles (and subsequent relinquishing of them) will net me enough electors to make me the next King of Aquitaine.

Beyond that, just killing time and building tech/infrastructure waiting for the Aztecs to arrive.

1. No ironman. HIP + anime portraits + Carmina Burana. :p I like mods and using the console too much to play ironman. So far I've reassigned some counties because it was driving me crazy that the other dukes were holding counties in each other's de jure duchy, and their ducal titles sometimes didn't even correspond to the land they held. :p I'm also thinking of giving Chester back to Lancaster (I only conquered it to bring it back into the realm after it broke away into a petty kingdom), though I'll be landlocked if I do. :(
3. 1066 William the Conqueror bookmark
2/4. I started as a Norman count (of Berkshire) in England, and three generations later am English and the Duke of Middleaengle (sp?) etc. Thanks to marrying my cousin the Duchess of Essex I'm probably the most powerful duke in the (rather small) realm, and since the infant king made me his regent I made myself his tutor in order to convert him to Englishness. :p My only worry now is whether I'll be able to survive to complete the educations of my heir and the king as I've lost count of the number of times my character has gotten "ill" or "stressed". :(

What's the point in having Holy orders if you don't use them?

Non-Ironman (Want to convert to EU4, without the loss of many cultures and religions. Also want to make the Nomads act a little more historically.....)
e_persia;Daryan Empire;;;;;;;;x (Christian.....)
769 (One of the very few times I've played it, I rather dislike the start)
Duke, (Bandavid title)

Aim is to Bring a 'relatively' historical outcome for EU4 conversion, and reforge the persian empire as christians. Haven't decided what to do with the Byzantines yet.

Well sometimes you can't use them. The Sultenate of Rum has a lot of christian vassals and I find myself struggling to siege as fast as I'm accustomed because not all my troops can help. I'm also worried about france who's taken some of my land through inheritances. I really need some more normal troops.

4. Count

Chera start as a count, with the advantage of the Silk Route going through their county in South India.

It's also convenient that the duchy is named after your family. So you naturally feel compelled to rise to be Duke of Chera Raj.

Chera is one of the oldest dynasties alongside Chola and Pandya. Their history started somewhere in 3rd century BC.

My key objective in the game is to remain in Gavelkind, not to raise Centralisation for the entire game.

1. I never play Ironman - I play for fun, not imaginary achievements
2. Bohemia
3. 769 start
4. Duke

Currently around 800 or so, still have same area but am now the biggest vassal in the kingdom of Great Moravia, one step away from declaring independence/taking over.

I also have a campaign that I started to test out my new custom Holy order the Knights of St Dominus (starts in Croatia)

1. No Ironman obviously !
2. Knights of St Dominus
3. 1102
4. Grandmaster

Currently around 1290 - after manay, many adventures (see my AAR) I gained and lost estates in the Holy Land and Afghanistan (!) before conquering Malta, which has been my home for the past 120 years. I now control every island in the Western Med and am working my way into Southern Italy. A terribly fun campaign !

1. Ironman all day, everyday.
2. Asturias
3. 769 C.E.
4. King

Started a campaign based upon Arumba's Cantabrian Crusades since it looked fun. Eventually managed to spread my dynasty to Italy, Byzantium, and the largest duchy in a much diminished Middle Francia (last independent holding of the Karlings). Due to succession shenanigans, my second ruler's husband gained a bloated Aquitaine (had it's de jure and the Duchies of Poitou and Berry) which made the next generation interesting. Basically my heir was the older of fraternal twins. I had landed the male since I felt bad about him not inheriting due to his awesome sister but forgot about their father's titles. Long story short, elective succession gave my queen a claim on Aquitaine which I ate after rebels left it with a boy-king. Now the Dual Kingdom of Leon-Aquitaine rules over much of France and most of the Iberian peninsula.

I just need to figure out how I can consolidate Italy under my rule without leaving the direct family line. Then I can form the HRE via the decision though I'll probably form a few kingdoms first to abuse that de jure swapping.

This is a fun start because you start out pretty oversized and need to make a complete overhaul of your realm, before actually starting time. Depending on how you choose to distribute your excess holdings and transfer vassalage, the game can turn into several different directions.
