I am not a kid, kid. I just don´t get the entertainment value- but to each their own.

Or regular sport. It's exactly like the entertainment value of watching e-sports, or non-e-sports.
I've never understood how some people get so passionate about ice hockey, football and such, even tho they are not playing themselves. The sport I've most been interested in watching was disc golf and just some of the players who had beautiful or unique form. It's exactly like the entertainment value of watching e-sports, or non-e-sports.

If you people cannot wait to get your hands on the game (I know I can't) here is an advice: Read some Battletech books while waiting to get the feel of the world and universe. Just yesterday I realised that Deat Legion saga starts a year before events of the game. So you basically build your company parallel to Greysons. Just imagine how coll it would be to meet them on the battlefield.
Allows you to time to consider your move and think ahead. Just like tabletop (unless you play it drunk).
Thoughts?
The worst part is just as he was starting to get the hang of things, he's going to shelve it to play God of War. He said he will intermittently pick it up again between now and release, but I sense a lot of people going into withdrawal in the meantime.
Not only that, but in at least one instance they were fixing bugs in real time as he was finding them. Literally the bug would be encountered and they would go in and sort it, which is a pretty neat way of doing things. The devs have said they are actively watching his streams and fixing bugs encountered/balancing game aspects.
It is simply a case of marketing reach. Streamers today reach thousands of people that normal advertising doesn't, so we utilize them to get the word out beyond the core fans that the game is coming. They always have restrictions on what they can show though, it isn't the full game, it is limited.
For any game, not just BATTLETECH, it is important that people are aware that it is exists in order to buy it and for it to be successful. Most people won't back games on Kickstarter or pre-order them, they won't actively go find out about whats being released or coming soon, these are people we need to make an actual effort to make aware of it's existence. Streaming is a great way of doing this.
Hopefully you also like the streams, but if not, we will still have the PDX/HBS streams which should appeal to you more, assuming you like watching the devs play/talk about the game.![]()
So when will the handing out of press keys to more medium sized content creators come about?
I'm not sure what Paradox's usual MO is, but with other games you typically see broad scale streaming in the week before release, sometimes 2 weeks before.

I understand the "sponsor the bigger streamers like Cohh" phase has been had and is over.

Maybe get totalbiscuit to do one. That'll be hilarious.
Apparently TB has access to same beta build as Cohh has, but TB is struggling with some serious back issues (insane pain 24/7) and those render him unable to work.
