That just shows that a new player, jumping into the game will be able to play. They won't be able to play well but they can have fun and won't be discouraged by not knowing how to do anything.
Cohh has shown that while he may not know the best way to play, he could still advance and get better even when he made mistakes.
So this game will appeal to new players or old salts, and won't drive new players away because of a steep learning curve.
Yeah, HBS, returning to the good old days of gaming, where the game was well made and had innate challenges, but didnt have gameplay such that you had to go to college to learn how to play it. All these 'Esports' type of games being made anymore, where they make it so convoluted, confusing, stupid and just down right complicated that you gotta do hours of homework, watch tons of film, die over and over again as you just TRY to eek your way to mediocrity. Only those who milk the best and game the game the best rise to be the best. Its annoying and does not make for very fun games. All of Wargaming's games, PuBG, Planetside 2, MWO, all those meta whore games........not that fun overall, to many annoying and aggravating features.
BT however, its just gunna be a good, solid, fun game. Tough in some spots, but easy to pick up and learn your way through. Not 'punishing' where you stand out of the 25% cover and get hit by a PPC, results in your mech exploding, or a single hit to the back results in your mech exploding and the pilot dying, ala WOWS and their 1 shot deletion citadel feature....
