I am so tired of the double-standard the AI in this game has for itself and for the players. This holds especially true in wars.
The most common situation that occurs is the AI will control a revolt and a nation dealing with a revolt. The player will attack one or the other (usually the revolt) and within a few months of the player attempting to capture the country they declared war for, the original war ends. I am certain I am not the only player who notices how the AI conveniently dropped out of the war with a white peace as soon as the player become involved.
I know last time I tried to white peace a month after I started a war the AI looked at me stupid and told me "hell no!" in so many words. So if this is the situation the player has to deal with why does the AI give itself a pass and end wars it would not allow a player out of?
Players want consistency. If a rule applies they want it to apply to all relevant situations. When the AI does crap like this it ruins the game for me. I should not feel like I am playing a giant game of Monopoly and every player, including the banker, is convoluting against me. I just want the AI to have to play by the same rules the player is forced to.
