So I founded KoJ as Cyprus in my most recent Ironman game, and am disappointed that my sprites (yeah I know they're not really sprites anymore) are still the generic Eastern Europe ones. Nothing's stopping me from changing them though! But...what should I change them to?
My immediate instinct is France sprites, since my primary culture is Cosmopolitaine, but it seems to me that it would be unlikely military uniforms would evolve the same way in the Levant as they did in Europe.
I also thought that perhaps the Ottoman or generic Islam sprites might be the most realistic ones I could use; maybe even the Mamluk ones so I can have cool camel cavalry (although I don't know if they keep camels at T2 and up).
Maybe I should just pick the ones I think look coolest though! This would be the Aztec sprites. Not very historical or realistic, but I'd look pretty snazzy running around with those uniforms in the middle east.
