Which species will you never play as ?

Hello !

Which species do you think you will never play as, because you think they are ugly, or something else ... ?

I don't think I'll ever play the slugs, I'm not really fond of them in real life, and it won't change in Stellaris ! (I mean, seriously, look at their face and their tiny arms, they are so weird)

Well, so, discuss if you think this thread is interesting.

(Godammit, it's hard to make a thread, 20 minutes to find the words ...)

When 62% of people want to play first as human i, myself, never want to play as one.
I'm one every day of my life (moreover i'm a bit misanthropic) so i'm just gonna play something else for mind evasion.

i'm not particulary intrested to play as a bird, but i'm not ruling out anything - i don't knwo nealry enough baout the game to plan anything beyond my initial playthroughs.

Race portraits as cosmetics have to have some kind of appeal to me in order to get chosen.

The reptilians overall don't interest me very much.

Mainly Humans, Avians, Molluscoids and some fungi catch my attention.

About 80% of them... I know that's bad but i think by the time I got through the ones I like they'll have a DLC and i'll try those, then redo a few of them because I like them... I just hope after a while I'll have 300 to chose from and 280 that I don't play as XD

I know which one I'll definitely be playing as, the mighty arachnid overlords! so glad I went for the Stellaris Nova edition. I probably won't play as the humans for a long time, like Garfazz mentioned before I've been one for the last 38 years, I want pure escapism in my gaming.

There are a few. Not because they are 'ugly' it is because they are either repulsive or cannot see myself in a situation of ever using them.

I don't think I'll play the Blorg. Cause I feel they're part of the lore now. Something you interact with.

Also I might not go a bi pedal clothes wearing species the first few times. I like some really out there aliens.

Most of Reptilians except turtles.
Most of the Avians except one.
All of the Mammalians.
All of the Molluscoid.
A few Arthropoids and Fungoids.

I personally love my own species, so I won't avoid humans (this is in response to so many saying they won't use them) I personally dislike alot of the avians, so I'll probably be avoiding them, but otherwise I like at least something in each phenotype. Going more specifically I'll probably avoid the majority of portraits for nit picky reasons leaving me with the last 3 fungi, 3 of the anthropoids, 1-2 of the reptiles (the croc looking one is great) etc.
