I'm liking taking diplomatic and quantity first, and getting the idea there (if I'm not playing a huge nation like France/Castile/etc). +1 diplo rep is great for relations and more importantly annexing vassals faster, and it boosts force limit which I desperately need.

I don't know if I'm actually making a good decision or not, but I have "The Foreign Aid Act" (Humanist + Influence, I think) permanently enacted in my current Bohemia > Germany game: +1.00 Diplomatic Reputation, +20% Improve Relations. It was much more important earlier when I was scrambling to find allies and needed every bit of Diplomatic Reputation I could get.

Now it's mostly on in order to help dissuade coalitions and keep people off my back / prevent my allies from abandoning me.

The best of them military wise are the +5% discipline from the economic+quality ideas and there is another with +2,5% discipline and also +10% morale(altough not exatly shure about percentage of this) from the religious+quality ideas.

Nearly all policies are useful.
Their is some doubtful ones like innovative-defensive which only give defensivness, but these are but few.

All Policies providing benefits to income are stupid by definition.
The only usefull policies are policies to colonize faster or policies to stack REP high.
Military policies are usefull in multiplayer.

Quality and Innovative or Economic and Offensive are so good in MP. +20% infantry and 20% artillery combat ability absolutly destroys every player. And the best thing is they wouldn't know what hit them :p

Not true at all because income is the single most important factor to determine how powerful a nation is.
Without income you can't do much if anything while income can pretty much solve all problems.
Income is more important then monarch points but 1 ducat may be less worth then 1 monarch point however think about what 100-200 ducats per month more can do.

You are vastly overestimating income policies. The highest I recall gave 20% prod efficiency so for you to get even 100 from it you would have to be getting 500 base production and at that point you have so much money it becomes nothing more than a number.
