Which new countries do you want to see next with focus tree

I don't get why you care so much that other people have a different opinion than yours. Spain is in an extremely interesting position. The title of the thread is about new country focus trees, not your USSR rework fixation.

The two new trees are going to be Mexico and Portugal.

I will keep repeating it until I am proven wrong.

They fit everything that has been said about the new minors that are getting focus trees, are thematically relevant to both the US and UK, and relevant also to the themes of the DLC(naval and decolonization).

I still don't know why everyone is fixated on the Low Countries. They are going to get packaged with France.

Predictions for Future DLC:

-Soviet with either Poland/France (More likely Poland) where there are focus trees for Scandinavia with warlord type ones for Baltics.

-Italy with either Poland/France (More Likely France) with trees for Spain (HARD MAYBE YES) and rest of Balkan Countries.

-South America with Spain???

-Central Asia/Middle East

Not quite. Podcat also stated at PDXCON that there would be a tree "probably at each side" (of the Atlantic).

So we may be looking at a tree for, say, Mexico/Brazil and Netherlands/Sweden.

Or possibly one or two shared focus trees; Podcat also said "some new nations" would get trees, which is a weird choice of words if only two tags get trees.

Well the "new" nation thing was just poor word choice and was clarified by Bratyn shortly after he posted it. The PDXCON announcement may have said both sides of the Atlantic but the DD that was published a couple days later said near the US and UK.

Of course, one can easily assume that both versions of that are true. The only thing that would change is that it might include either Belgium or Netherlands but not both at the same time.

You are right, I just think that Spain is overrated that's all. It's why I said I was 'unreasonably' angry in my first post.

Ha, nice try, but the colonial possessions of those two are not on the other side of the Atlantic. Africa is on the same side of the Atlantic as Belgium and the DEI is on neither side of the Atlantic, being in the South Pacific and all.

Fair enough, though at this point it is all joking around anyway. I think it is fairly obvious that Podcat was not saying the two new countries would have colonies on either side of the Atlantic.

Spain and Turkey are my very two first choices, because of their unique position controlling straits (and not to far from Suez in case of Turkey), being able to help decisively any faction, quite big pop.
Greece could also be an interesting
I really like to play Finland, and try to resist the Soviet onslaught, I think both should be rework. Like said before, Soviet Union isn't fot MTG, so not for this DLC.
I don't think any particular South America country should be rework if the whole area isn't.
Other countries like Netherlands, Denmark, didn't play a important enough role in WW2 to get higher on my list (but can still be fun to play, ofc)

I think finland should definitely get a tree before Spain since finland actually fought in the war.

I'd be really disappointed if they reworked a south american country when there are so many important tags without a focus tree that actually contributed to the war or were in much more interesting positions to do so.

- Turkey (not higher because they didn't actually participate in the war expcept when it was over, unlike Greece/Bulgaria)
- Iran
- Siam
- Netherlands
- Norway

- Spanish Civil war DLC with NF for Spain with Nationalists/Royalists/Fascist and Communists/Anarchists/Democrats, Portugal and Mexico. With a reworked NF for Soviet Union and France

- Middle East DLC NF for Bulgaria, Greece, Turkey, Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Saudi-Arabia, Generic Small Arab State Focus tree for Yemen and Oman. Reworked NF for Italy and a bit more Middle East interaction for Britain and France.

- Scandinavia DLC NF for Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland and a generic Baltic focus tree, German communist tree and rework of Poland

- South America, NF for Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Columbia, Venezuela.

- Minor Asia DLC, Siam, Nepal, Dutch East Indies, British Malaya, Philippines.

Belgium and the Netherlands certainly fit as "close to the UK", but they are not at all close to the US. Given the most popular nations, Brazil/Mexico seem more likely than Belgium.
