Which Mod Do you Recommend for Vae Victus 2.32?

Are all the mods hard to install? Not just drag and drop? Epigoni's approach of more map, basically the same mechanics, sounds interesting.
I've really only played Rome (keepinig the civic faction in charge is entertaining), Macedonia a couple of times, and briefly others with less to do.

My favourite is Epigoni. Indeed, same mechanics, but deeper. Map with more factions and reworked provinces. News events and traits, easy to install. etc.
I really recommend it.

Reign of the Ancients is a good mod too, But you can't launch assault when you siege and sometimes the rebels are just too many and crazy and end your little nation quickly.

They're all extremely easy to install - "drag and drop", as you say.

The only problem is that Windows Vista and Win7 do funky things to applications installed to the "C:\Program Files" or "C:\Program Files (x86)" folders which makes installing mods a little harder. This is easily resolved by installing the base game in a different location, such as "C:\Games" instead. I believe this is the problem Antiochus Soter is referring to, but I might be misremembering.

Also, some mods with extensive map modifications like Epigoni require that some vanilla files get replaced. If this is the case, you just need to make a backup of the files and that's it.

Well, since I stuck with "better safe than sorry" XP I guess I should have no problem. Do I assume rightly that a save game should not be tried with any mod so use separate installs?

Most mods are not compatible with vanilla savegames, but when you install a mod, all the files get placed in the mod folder. Each mod will use its own savegames folder, too. This means you won't have to use separate installs at all, as you can choose which mod to use from the game loader.
