My dream mod, would be a victorian universe created on the books of Jules Verne with events like rocket to the moon, around the world in 80 days, a travel to the middle of the earth, ....

To answer the original question: too many to count.

I think the best one I've thought of is an alternate history in which Napoleon did not get defeated, and has been biding his time. Therfore, on one side we have French-American alliance, on the other, a Russian-Austrian alliance, and on the other hand, a Spanish-English-Japanese Alliance, and so on.

Or of course, an Turtledove Great War mod.

A mod in which Louis Bonaparte retains control of the low countries, and manages to grab much of the rhineland as well by betraying his brother.

Thus, Germany is unified by a Dutch Bonaparte!

(I'm actually sort of serious. A strong netherlands against prussia would make an interesting game).

Why be so stingy. Victoria spanning form 4000 BC to modern days would be the ideal mod- Of course it would require quite a bit of work

maybe in 10 years time, Paradox will develop the ultimate game mixing CoW with Legion with CK with EU2 with ViC with HoI....lets keep our fingers crossed!

I'd love to see a mod based on Michael Moorcock's alternate history books - Warlord of the Air, The Land Leviathan, The Steel Tsar in which he describes a 1970s world where the Age of Imperialism hasn't ceased. Zeppelins, a German Kaiser, Ghandi ruling an African Empire called Bantustan, the rest of Africa united in a crusade to remove the last slave holders in North america, and Joseph Djugashvili rising to be the Steel Tsar, starting as a Ukrainian warlord....

Since I'm not a huge fan of HoI, I would like to see a mod expanding the timeframe of Victoria to include a WW2 scenario. Much of the stuff from HoI could probably (if permitted?) be used for this. Actually, I'll probably be making such a mod myself.

Another idea would be based on A.B.Chandler's Kelly Country in which famed outlaw Ned Kelly becomes a second George Washington, leading Australia into a war of independence, and turning Down Under into a power akin to the U.S., based on Irish Catholicism - pretty wacky, with, for example, a fleet of Australian blimps bombing Kiel in the Great War, etc.
