which is a lot harder to open up and get to the right page than one or two clicks to get to the diplomacy screen, it is less accessible, seems more like a task to get to it.
Which is better Victoria 2 or Europa Universalis 3?

I find EU more appealing - I prefer continuous expansion of my empire, rather than internal consolidation and development.
EUIII is better if you like warfare, or if you want to take a small country to be master of the world. Victoria II is much more in-depth, and countries feel much more unique because what resources you have, and what your population is, really affect gameplay in a way it simply doesn't in EUIII. I prefer the latter quite a bit (I hardly ever play EUIII anymore now that Vicky's been patched up to decent playability), but it's a question of taste. There is no doubt that Vicky gameplay involves a lot more sitting around and waiting, which is a fair criticism as well (though the additions in AHD should help quite a bit, being able to develop countries in your sphere for development wonks and manufacture CBs for warmongers).
The thing is, Paradox has everything in many games: EU for empire, V for internal things,HOI for batttles,march of eagles for war and diplomacy.
I like both, but judging from my time spent playing them so far it's 80/20 in favour of EU3.

Vic 2 is game that is played exactly same on Youtube (just push the button play) as on your own computer. I have hard time to call it game, it is just simulator.
Eu3 is probably my all time favorite game, but I feel its starting to get really dated, or maybe i've just played it too much. These days I like Victoria 2 alot more and I probably won't be comming back to Eu3, at least not to play it as much as I used to.

IMO Vic 2 is really fun right up until you build your country into the great 8. From that point it becomes a suckfest due to the stupid influence minigame crap. EU3 is great fun until you decide you're bored with your success and start over...
EU3 is showing its age, I think, but in terms of what I'm looking for in a strategy game, I definitely prefer EU3.
Victoria 2 is a great game, but I prefer empire building and expansion, something of which isn't nearly as possible in Victoria 2. Victoria 2 is great to play as a country and take it down a semi-historic path, but you're not going to be doing Ulm -> Germany or something crazy like that.
Victoria 2 is an economic simulator, mind you, while EU3 is all about discovery and expansion. Comparing the two is like comparing apples and oranges, but as to which I enjoy more, it's EU3 because it's more my thing.

Vicky is just harder, probably not to play but to master, I play EU3 more because of its more simple interface.
